Background
The requirement for a national register of learning providers came out of the DfES consultation paper "Getting the Best from Each Other".
The Xansa feasibility study (March 04) concluded that a national register was feasible and went on to outline a recommended approach.
Following the feasibility study, the UfI proposed a more detailed approach in their proposal to the DfES.
The UKRLP Project is a result of acceptance of the UfI proposal to implement the UK Register of Learning Providers (UKRLP).
